You Read Too Much, Stop Reading Self-improvement Books!

I have read a fair amount of self-improvement books, and what I realized was I needed to stop myself from reading more self-improvement books. This is why I, as well as you readers, should stop reading:

1 | Everything becomes useless if you don’t practice it

As we all know that knowledge is useless if you only know without implementing it. Therefore, what you need is to practice according to what you read. However, this is my biggest challenge and perhaps most of you when reading self-improvement books. I’d rather go as far as possible than have to. This is because this book with the self-improvement category is closely related to your comfort zone and habits, where you need to suffer several times to finally be able to do well.

2 | Actually you don’t really need it

Pay attention to the great people around you, or maybe your idol. So, what exactly makes them someone you admire? Of course there are many variables about this, such as: talent, passion, and hard work. But actually the most important thing about this is about experience.

Ask them, how many times have they read books on self-improvement? Or maybe, have they ever read self-improvement books? So I am absolutely sure that most of them will answer 0 and have never read any self-improvement books. Yes, you don’t really need it that much. So you and I should take the first step towards discovering a new experience.

3 | If you have a mentor, it’s better to stop reading it

Having a mentor who is an expert in their field is a privilege, because the knowledge you get will be more easily absorbed than if you read it from a book. It is able to teach you better than a book, because it is directly related to the real challenges of the world. So, stop reading it, when you have a mentor.

So what should you and I do now?

You and I need to suffer a little more than usual. Accept that the first and most difficult gates to open are : start, and the second is : keep the flow. Everything is action based. So I believe, if you and I are able to pass through the two gates of hell, in all fields, then we will unbeatable. Motivation is what you gets started. Habit is what you keeps going.

There is no elevator to success, you have to take the stairs
